"Slipaway" Exceeded expectations. Beautiful yet comfortable boat. Yacht club was very nice too. In retrospect two nights were not enough for our family of four. Our teenage girls loved their bunks, the dining table and hanging out on the boat enjoying the sights. Great area to explore around the marina also. Hoping to stay for a month or two when we become empty nesters. Great experience!

"First Class" Loved it. We were there for a week. Already miss it. Very quiet, very safe marina. Love Shelter Island. Amazing location. Shaun is an excellent host. We would stay there again. We hope to live aboard one day on a boat about this size so this was an outstanding preview.
Alex J. – London, England – January 1, 2019
My husband and I always hoped to own a boat one day. Instead of waiting for that "one day" to become a reality, we decided to make our dream come true. We found BoatBnb and discovered that they offered exactly what we were looking for, the experience of renting and living aboard our own boat. Imagine to our surprise when they had our dream boat available for rent! It was the best decision we could've ever made. We spent about 4-5 months living on the Ohana on and off and it was truly a dream come true. It's as spacious as a two bedroom apartment and it felt just like being at home on the lovely and relaxed Shelter Island in San Diego - a little haven of paradise that makes you feel like you're on vacation every single day. The thing I will miss the most about leaving the Ohana are the beautiful sunsets overlooking the bay with the sun glistening over the San Diego downtown skyline. Truly breathtaking! There is something magical about experiencing this on a boat. Now we will always have the experience of "owning a boat" and we didn't have to wait for that "one day" for it to happen. We were able to experience it now. We are very grateful for the opportunity to have experienced boat living and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special getaway with memories that will last a lifetime.

Very relaxing elegance. Slept like a baby
Sharon E. – Hawaii – October 26, 2018
My husband and I have just returned to Hawaii from a wonderfully peaceful 8- night stay aboard "Slipaway" in the Shelter Cove Marina. The boat itself is beautifully maintained and comfortable. Everything we needed for the stay was provided and Shaun and the rest of the staff at the Marina were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed making breakfast in the well appointed galley, and walking to nearby restaurants for lunch or other meals. Evenings were often spent relaxing topside with wine, beer, and "pupus". We hope to return someway to "Slipaway" but in the meantime, hope others will decide to enjoy it in our absence. Mahalo, Sharon & Mark

THE most amazing weekend at the Boat BnB's Endless Summer! Always welcoming, accommodating, clean and relaxing! We never wanted it to end! This is our 2nd excursion to the Boat BnB and it won't be our last! THANK YOU, Shaun!
Steve S. – Bull Head City, AZ – September 2, 2018
What a rush! BucketList and lifelong fantasy fulfilled in one night. Slipaway is the perfect sailing sloop/yacht pictured in faraway travel magazine ads. I only dreamed that one day that could be me. Now it has been. Everything was perfect as Shaun has made it so. We will be back to stay on another boat one day, I am sure. The experience was worth every dollar spent!
Mary C. – San Diego, CA – August 13, 2018
My husband wanted to do something different for his bday. I booked Sell Sell Sell with Shaun. She took care of everything and was GREAT to work with. I'm sitting here writing the review IN the boat, getting ready to leave, which we don't want to do. :-( Had an amazing time and we were able to go out around the bay. Everything from check in to facilities were A++++. The boat is gorgeous and perfect for us to enjoy a little home away from home. The facilities at the Marina are kept up to perfection. Had no problem taking a shower there. It's extremely clean and well kept. Thanks Shaun for everything!!! We look forward to coming back!
Jeff L. – San Diego, CA – June 29, 2018
I think anyone that has spent even a little time on the water would agree that there’s not too many things better than just sitting on the back of a boat with a drink in your hand, a fishing line in the water, and some Jimmy Buffett music playing in the background. If you feel the same way, but you’re not fortunate enough to have your own yacht in the harbor, BoatBnb has got you covered. Shaun had everything set up perfectly and made sure we had a nice, relaxing mini vacation. I can’t think of anything that would’ve made it better.
Robert W. – Tucson, AZ – March 8, 2018
Finally! Longer than we would have liked but we are excited to be returning to Boat B&B for another stay . We stayed on Czech Mate (now Sell,Sell,Sell in Sept of 2015 and had an amazing weekend in San Diego. (2 adult couples). The boat was spacious with lots of top side deck space for hanging out and sipping a cold moscow mule or glass of wine. The aft swim up platform was great for parking a few folding chairs and watching the fish at night with the under water light. We even had a brief visit from a local sea lion one evening. The marina is conveniently located on Shelter Island a few steps to the Bali Hai and Humphrey's Half Moon Bay. While the bathroom on board worked fine, boat bathrooms can be a bit tight so we opted to use the marina facilities. They were very clean and accommodating. It was overall a very unique and enjoyable experience and a great way to enjoy San Diego from another perspective. We can't wait to check in a few weeks from now for another great experience.
Rae H. – Ventura, CA – February 1, 2018
What a wonderful & fun experience it was to stay on the beautiful "Slipaway" sailboat . It is beautiful inside with amazing hand carved doors and fine touches throughout. The deck was so comfortable to lounge on and enjoy our special Happy Hours!!! Shaun & her staff were so welcoming. Shaun personally oriented us to the Slipaways workings & what a lovely surprise to find fresh fruits, juices, snacks onboard. We can't wait to return . First rate experience.
Jim A. – Rancho Santa Fe, CA – November 16, 2017
Having never done this before, we were not sure what to expect. Turned out to be a great experience - much better than a hotel and Shaun provided super service and availability. Our friends were from out of state and they thought this was so neat and unusual. We will do it again.
James R. – Las Vegas, NV – October 15, 2017
I stayed on Seas The Day this past July (2017) for a very short four-day weekend with a couple of friends. Time always goes so fast when I visit my favorite city in the whole wide world (San Diego). Our trip was so jam-packed with activities but the most fun we had was just lounging around on Seas the Day, a 34 catamaran. We cooked a great dinner on the included grills by the front office and even had fun conversations with the group next to us who were also staying with BoatBnB. Shaun, who runs the whole thing herself, gave us the tour and though we didn't have much dealing with her the rest of the trip, she would always wave and smile in passing. All-in-all a great time and the hard part will be to decide whether to book Seas the Day again or try another one of the cool boats in the fleet.
Ben T. – Cumming, GA – October 13, 2017
First Class provided us a beautiful and unique place to stay for a long weekend in San Diego. This was the second stay on a BoatBNB property and it definitely will not be the last. The marina atmosphere is relaxing, and the amenities are First Class (no pun intended...or maybe a small one). Shaun and the rest of the staff were super helpful with the latest comings and goings in the SD area. And the actual boat was great! Wifi, air condition (when needed), and living space were as advertised. The galley was stocked with cooking items, glassware, coffee mugs, refrigerator, etc.. and made breakfast in the AM easy. The bunks were comfy and spacious for the boat size.
Karl G. – Murietta, CA – September 25, 2017
We rented the Agavero for 2 nights August 10 & 11, 2017 for our anniversary. Last year (2016) I surprised my wife with a 2 night stay also in August for our anniversary. The Agavero experience is unique, very relaxing and gives you the feeling of owning a boat without the cost or going out into the ocean. The interior is small but roomy enough for 2 and the covered back deck/patio has plenty of room for 2 plus visitors. The marina is quiet both day and night. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. It was a really great experience and we plan to rent the Agavero again in the future.
Giogio R. – , – September 25, 2017
"First Class" the boat was clean and confortable. Shaun and her staff always there for any help you need. Marina very quiet a really relaxing holiday!

My wife and I were in San Diego in July 2017 to attend a workshop. Originally I made reservations for a room at the hotel the workshop was held. But my wife got creative and searched the internet for alternative lodging. That's where she discovered that yacht owners rent out their vessels for short-term lodging in the local marinas. We decided to go for it and reserved "Sell, Sell, Sell", a 46-ft yacht docked at Shelter Cove Marina. It cost less than the hotel and provided a luxurious atmosphere for us to enjoy. It will comfortably sleep 4 although there were only two of us. There are 2 full bathrooms on the boat plus bath and shower facilities at the adjoining marina. The boat had a nice audio system, televisions and a kitchenette. My wife is sensitive to motion due to her inner-ear condition so it was a concern. But the motion caused by the winds and passing boats were minimal and proved to be a soothing sensation that added to our aquatic adventure. The staff of Shelter Cove Marina were very accommodating. This wound up being one of our favorite vacations even though it was a business trip. Highly recommended
Rae H. – Ventura, CA – September 10, 2017
What a terrific stay on "Slipaway". We couldn't have had a more relaxing and fun sta y aboard the "Slipaway". We had our furry daughter "Windy" with us which made it such a complete family vacation. Shaun & her staff were so welcoming and informative regarding our stay & the Slipaways appointments. There was an additional great surprise onboard, fresh juice ,yogurts and fresh fruit. in the frig. It was such a friendly and appreciated extra. The boat was beautiful and was in very good repair, very clean and fresh. The hand carved wooden doors to the bedrooms were amazing. We so look forward to staying again very soon. We may try one of the other great boats Shaun has in the B&B boat program but the "Slipaway " sets the bar very high.We highly recommend !!!

My girlfriend and I found ourselves with some much-needed free time and were excite d about booking a last minute trip to San Diego. Unfortunately, almost all of the hotels and accommodations were either booked or super expensive. Lucky for us we came across boatBnb and booked Sea’s the Day for a couple of days of fun, sun and relaxation. Neither of us had stayed on a boat before and we were both very excited. Everything about the experience exceeded out expectations. Booking and checking in was a breeze, in fact we were a little late getting in to San Diego and they stayed late and fully accommodated us. Shaun was a dream to deal with and was available for us at any time. The boat and Marina exceeded our expectations not only was it beautiful but the people there were very nice and friendly. As a note we are both clean freaks and the boat and Marina facilities were both immaculate, which we loved. Shaun also gave us some awesome recommendations for places to eat and things to do and see. The Island is beautiful and there are so many amazing things to see and explore around it. We have recommended it to all our friends and family and loved it so much we are planning to book several trips this year with boatbnb.

Whenever I’m in San Diego, BoatBnB has become my home. Great boats, all in Bristol condition, th e perfect waterfront setting a short walk to fine restaurants and great entertainment make BoatBnB the perfect weekend or vacation choice. Shaun is great and very attentive to detail. Why be a landlubber when one can stay on a beautiful yacht for less money?
Steve T. – San Diego, CA – June 19, 2017
Had a wonderful stay on Sell, Sell, Sell. Exceeded expectations and staff was pleasant and easy to deal with. Can't wait to do it again!

If you are looking for a romantic get away right here in San Diego look no further the the Boat Bed and Breakfast "Ode to our Joy" at Shelter Island. You are walking distance to everything you need and what a hidden beauty. A great 54 foot yacht, with a full queen size bed and beautiful living room that just makes the place very livable (no need to feel squeezed here, both my wife and I are over 6 feet and didn't feel cramped). Light breakfast items were provided along with fruit and Ice. EVERYTHING works, and what they don't say strongly enough is that the boat is super clean, no mildew smells of any kind. We paddle boarded, we swam, we watched the sunset, we read books (have all kinds of seating and perfect light to read by). They even have cable on board, so if there is something you want to watch you have two tv's. There are plenty of 110v outlets so if you have to "plug in" you will be 100% covered including WiFi service. You can use the facilities on board, or if you want to you can go to the club house and use the shower / facilities there. Great experience, and although we were only there for three days it felt like home (the people are really nice). Can't wait to do this again. p.s. They also provide a 20% off at local restaurants. I know what you are thinking, they are never the places that you want to go. Not so here, we used it at 4 different restaurants and all of these were excellent.

Surprised my wife for her birthday spent weekend on Seas the Day it was truly amazi ng quiet peaceful beautiful Catamaran spacious . I couldn't have enjoyed more! Will do again soon!
Karl G. – Tierra Verde, FL – August 12, 2016
I rented the Agavero as a surprise anniversary getaway for my wife. She was thrilled to be surprised staying on a boat. Shaun was very helpful and gracious in making the reservation and walking us through how things on board worked. Our stay was better than I could have hoped for. The boat cabin is cozy but enough room for two. The highlight was sitting on the rear deck of the boat watching other boats, sunrise, sunset and just enjoying the new experience of "owning a boat" for a few days. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, Bali Hai is a favorite. Bottom line is we enjoyed our stay and my wife has stories to tell about her surprise.
Corrine S. – Tierra Verde, FL – August 4, 2016
We stayed with older grandkids, SO, great grand....6 of us total of 4 generation s! Everyone had their own space. Three levels of living space let everyone connect together yet disperse for some privacy. San Diego on the coast in July was breezy, dry and pleasant. Could see the SeaWorld fireworks from the bridge. Comfortable beds and CLEAN surroundings. No odors. Clean refrigerator, etc. Nice breakfast of yogurts and fresh fruit and OJ and coffee. Centrally located to visit all the local sites and nearby restaurants. AND free parking! Shaun, office folks, and the dock hands were VERY helpful and courteous. I would stay here again! Excellent venue! Everyone loved lounging together for breakfast and late nights on the bridge. A fine time and opportunity to reconnect like we all lived together!

This is my family's second time staying aboard one of Boatbnb's yachts. Once again it was a fabulous time. Shaun and her team do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The boats are in immaculate condition. The Shelter Cove Marina is centrally located and makes many parts of San Diego reachable within a short drive.

Slipaway! A boat from a fairy-tale. We've had a fantastic experience for 12 days on Slipaway. It is gorgeous and friendly. The master bedroom is fabulous. It's super spacious and comfortable. The host was fabulous. We are truly grateful for the experience.

This was our second time staying aboard Elegante, and it was just as lovely as we remembered. We invited family members for a small reunion and they loved the yacht so much we decided to spend most of the trip hanging out and enjoying the view. Can't wait for a return trip.
Timothy S. – December 2, 2015
We spent a week aboard Elegante during Thanksgiving week, and it was a lovely stay. We are experienced boaters but have never done a boat BNB, and were a little skeptical because yachts can easily not live up to their photos. But the boat was a wonderful, well maintained vessel. Although the furnishings and decor were a little tired, the bones of the yacht were great. Lots of choices to eat, relax, chat, and the views were amazing. Kitchen was well stocked, and provisions for breakfast just fine. The location on the end pier was safe and very quiet without much marina activity on docks, and neighboring full timers were friendly. Shaun and the team were very accommodating and helpful.

An amazing weekend escape on Shelter Island; highly suggest this to anyone seeking a unique experience in San Diego. We will for sure be back on board again soon! Thank you.
Theresa S. – Lake Havasu City, AZ – August 24, 2015
Our stay was awesome! After being lulled to sleep with the soft rocking of the ocean waves, we woke up to have coffee on deck. We were fascinated by the pelicans diving into the salt water for their breakfast. The location on Shelter Island is great for anything you will do in the San Diego, Mission Bay area. We had authentic Italian food one night & the next night we went to the local fish market & prepared our dinner on board. The Silver Cloud is stocked with everything you need to do so. The cabin & bedding was wonderful & we kept the hatch open so we could enjoy the fresh salt air all night. Had a very romantic experience doing something unique & fun. Book today & make arrangements to surprise your honey. Great way to recharge after 23 years of marriage. Thank you for your Hospitality, Respectfully, Randy & Theresa Smith

My husband and I stayed on the Agavero with my brother-in-law and his fiance on Memorial Day weekend. They came all the way over from Sweden and we had a wonderful time on the Agavero. Although it was compact for two couples (one couple stayed in the master bedroom with the other couple staying in the dining room shifted into a bed), it is very roomy and nice to share time together out on the deck. I have to say the service and cleanliness of the boat and the overall deck services, laundry facility, restrooms/showers is superb. It was so peaceful and nice to be rocked to sleep and we enjoyed the sounds and smells of the water including the barks of the harbor seals right up to the boat! It was a 10! Thank you Shaun! JL

Our 3rd time here and we absolutely love it! It's amazing how many people are not aware of this vacation option. So, we are making it our mission to spread the word. Thank you Shaun!
Harold C. – Glendale, CA – May 26, 2015
My wife, myself and a good friend spent 4 nights on Slipaway . We were in San Diego with 11 other, mostly retired, adults for our every other year UC Santa Barbara roommate reunion. This year they chose San Diego. I wanted to stay some place other than the standard Marriott or Hilton. I chose Slipaway because it looked fun and different. I chose Slipaway because it is old enough to have the beautiful wood interior rather than the white fiberglass that we are use to. The experience was great. The on-shore facilities were excellent. We used the nice supplied patio facility with its fire feature and bar overlooking the marina. We served wine and cheese to the whole group before our dinner at the restaurant next door. The on-shore restroom facilities with showers were very nice as well. The older toilets on Slipaway were a problem for our female friend. However, the experience was positive enough that she would do it again but on another boat. My wife and I really enjoyed "this" boat..
Denna S. – Ranch Mirage, CA – March 12, 2015
We loved our stay on Elegante. It was every bit as beautiful and luxurious as we had hoped, and we plan to make a return trip. The views are spectacular and the staff made sure that we had everything we needed.
Debbie L. – San Diego, CA – February, 2015
We stayed on the We stayed on the Slipaway for my husband's birthday and brought our two kids. It was such a cozy, enjoyable, serene stay-cation! Beautiful sunsets, quiet atmosphere and perfect size accommodations for our family. We just rented it for my dad's 60th for he and my mom. It's a real treat!
Liz O. – Galiano Island, BC Canada – January 23, 2015
We spent November on Ode to our Joy with our dog and it was a first class holiday -- highly recommend it to boaters and others who are looking for a lovely, private home away from home but with the top sights of San Diego close by. Great facilities, well stocked galley, spacious heads, charming staterooms, great cockpit and bridge, lots of privacy, great location, great marina! The staff at Shelter Cove marina are very friendly and looked after us very well. Lovely docks, fantastic live-aboard sailors to chat to, terrific beaches, restaurants and chandleries close by. We can't say enough about this terrific holiday and hope to return next year. Thanks Shaun and crew!
Patrick H. – San Diego, CA – September 24, 2014
For a short stay-cation and our anniversary, we decided to try out staying on a boat. Boat BnB provided a perfect opportunity to do this. The location is great for getting away and relaxing. The boat stay was fun and opened our thoughts to living aboard. Shaun was very helpful and handled our tardiness professionally Silver Cloud.

Elegante We loved our stay on this wood boat. Our guests really enjoyed visiting us and there was plenty of room for everyone. We just relaxed and watch the world go by, sailboats, seals, naval vessels. Shaun is a great manager.
Helen R. – Murietta, CA – August 21, 2014
Ode to our Joy This was the first time my husband and I tried this unique type of getaway. This beautiful yacht offers so much more than a simple beach hotel, you enjoy the beach community and breath taking ocean sights, smells and sounds of being right on the water. The scent of the fresh sea combined with the luxurious master suite made for a wonderful nights rest. We had a romantic evening, totally secluded, yet having all the comforts of home. It was so nice having a full kitchen, no need for expensive room service or rushing out to eat. We woke to coffee on the deck, absolutely incredible, right on the water! This yacht is even more beautiful than the pictures show. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, the most wonderful mini vacation we have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking of taking a unique vacation!
Tom P. – Keller, TX – August 20, 2014
Great experience! The service was wonderful- thank you Shaun. I truly enjoyed the time I spent on Ode to our Joy. Plenty of room and comfortable stay. The experience was much better than the standard hotel room and a great change to my normal business travel schedule. I plan to return soon. Highly recommended.
Martha & Christina – Draper, UT – August 6, 2014
My daughter, Christina, and I spent a week on the Sea Horse this summer (2014). We enjoyed excellent accommodations conveniently located in the Shelter Cove Marina. The boat living experience was exciting and unique. We had three separate, immaculately clean bedrooms, two bathrooms, beautiful galley with large dining table and lounging deck. We enjoyed sailing around the bay and being lulled to sleep every night. The location was only two miles from the San Diego Airport, a few miles to Sea World, Coronado Island, Old Towne San Diego, and several exceptional beaches. An excellent restaurant was located right at the Marina! We felt like we were on a cruise in some exotic port. Then to top it off, we were on location in front row position for the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display in the bay! What a wonderful alternative to the traditional family vacation. The person taking care of our needs was wonderful. She anticipated our every nee d! We plan to return next year--for a month this time. Great experience! Martha Forrest Christina Forrest Evans

Ode to our Joy. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time staying on board with our 3 children. It was centrally located, the amenities were top notch and there were plenty of restaurants etc nearby. Our children loved the novelty of staying on a boat. We would recommend.

We absolutely LOVED our stay on Ode to our Joy. Shaun was very welcoming and showed us around to get us acquainted with marina life. Our long weekend stay was perfect and we hardly wanted to leave the boat! We'll definitely be back again. You couldnt ask for a better location, great amenities, awesome staff, great boat. It all adds up to a my kind of vacation.

My family and I stayed at the Pilot Chalet for two nights in July 2014. The Cabin was perfect! It was really clean and comfortable. The rooms were big, the bathrooms had toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc., and the kitchen had everything you needed. Using the Jacuzzi at the end of the day was really relaxing. We would recommend this place to our family and friends!
Nicole P. – Placentia, CA – July 25, 2014
This was our third stay here; twice on the Slipaway. She is definitely my favorite little yacht due to her charm and personality. This older wooden ship seems to have so many stories to tell. This is a very relaxing Marina; not nearly as busy and noisy as other marinas we have visited. Shaun and her colleagues are so friendly and accommodating. They make sure that your stay is enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The ship itself it comfy and perfect for two people. The galley has plenty of space to store your snacks and beverages. The marina staff make sure you have plenty of ice, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and orange juice. Everyone there is s friendly. It truly is a relaxing place to visit with nearby amenities within walking, biking or driving distance. The bathrooms are kept clean and the showers are nice. They have an on site gym, laundry facility (bring soap and quarters) and soda machine. You can rent kayaks or just lay on your boat an d be rocked to sleep. Can't wait to go back!!
Ruth P. – Costa Mesa, CA – July 16, 2014

I have stayed on Ode to our Joy twice. Once for 8 days, the second time was 3 Days. I am looking forward to my next time. You couldnt ask for a better location, great amenities, awesome staff, great boat. It all adds up to a my kind of vacation.
Dan R. – Lusby, MD – July 3, 2014
We had a great time on the Silver Cloud. The boat was perfectly set up for a couple. It was very clean and comfortable. The galley and head were nicely equipped and everything was easy to use. The marina is very nice and close to lots of fun things to do. Shaun and her staff were very friendly and helpful. The quickly showed us everything we needed to know about the boat and about the facilities. Shaun also gave us a lot of excellent information about marina life in San Diego. The other boats she manages were also very nice. We will absolutely be back.
Henry T. – Los Angeles, CA – May 7, 2014
Where to start.... We were met at the front office by Jesse and his coworker with big smiles and warm welcomes. They actually took our luggage, bikes, kayaks, and the infamous Surfjet off the truck and brought it to the Silver Cloud. It was very low tide, so going down the ramp was a bit of a chore. All weekend long Jesse continued to ask us if our visit was good and if we needed anything. It could not have been a better weekend. Boat was great, very clean, everything worked except for the liquor dispenser.... Yes Jesse I looked at it, and tried to get it working ;) No luck, its missing parts. Neighbors around the marina are very helpful and polite. Charlies Houseboat is one to see, ask for a tour! My only recommendation is to put a key for the BBQ on the set of keys for the boat. We had to circumvent the lock system one night....sorry Jesse... ;)
Terri C. – Los Angeles, CA – April 21, 2014
Staying on this boat is so relaxing, I cannot begin to describe how much I have enjoyed my weekends aboard. First of all, if you are going to spend top dollar at a San Diego hotel for a water view, why not spend your money on Boat B n B and be ON the water? Plus, you are surrounded by great walking paths and good restaurants close by, if you must leave the boat. Frankly, I stopped at a nearby Trader Joe's, bought food and wine, and other than to walk my dog, I didn't want to leave. The views are lovely, the boat is comfortable, and the extra amenities in the kitchen are greatly appreciated. There is a slight rocking motion to the boat -- be advised -- but unless you are particularly sensitive, it should not be an issue. I think the boat is perfect for two adults, and perhaps two little children. For one person and a small dog -- absolutely ideal. I found it cozy, and very quiet, even when the neighbors were having a party. I have stayed on Silver Cloud twice now and cannot wait to come back. Shaun and her team do everything possible to make your stay comfortable, and any issues (and for me, they were small) are handled immediately. I recommend the experience highly: it's something different, and you will find yourself telling all your friends about it.
Roger I. – Corona, CA – April 16, 2014
The boat, the environment, Shaun and her staff, everything about our stay was fantastic. I have told everyone that we know about our stay and I would recommend the Silver Cloud to anyone looking for a different type of getaway.
Terri C. – Los Angeles, CA – February 2, 2014
I always want a water view when I get a chance to take some time off, and I ask you, what could be more perfect than staying on a boat, where the ocean becomes your front yard? I stayed on Silver Cloud for a few days, and absolutely loved it. Yes, it's on the water, so you will feel movement, and yes, if you have claustrophobia, the size and ceiling height of this particular craft might bother you -- but it didn't bother me at all! This was the best use of small space I have ever encountered, and it's probably larger than some NYC apartments! Great little kitchen with stove/microwave, a fridge and freezer, 2 flat screen TVs, closet space, a couch and a lovely banquette that can turn into another sleeping area (though I didn't use it that way). You can lounge topside, and just a few steps away, up the ramp, enough green space for you and your dog o walk alongside the bay.. Appreciated the thoughtful touches left by management: basic spices, coffee/tea/c reamer, fresh fruit, oatmeal and OJ. Nice neighbors, very quiet, beautiful sunsets. Two things you should know: nothing goes in the head but what comes out of you, so you do have to adjust to that, and fighter jets from nearby naval base are so loud they set off car alarms, but you get used to it after awhile, and when you're inside the boat, with hatch closed, they are a lot less noticeable. Special kudos to the housekeeper. The boat was spotless. And many thanks to manager Shawn for immediately answering operational questions, and making little glitches go away. I'm going back again!

Our family of 6 (4 kids are all in their early 20's) thoroughly enjoyed Christmas week in Shaun's (Pilot Chalet)! It is a VERY clean, comfortable and well laid out cabin. It had everything we were looking for (and more): pet friendly (fenced yard and large corner lot), internet, fireplace, hot tub, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, generous supply of towels, pillow, and blankets, flat screen TVs in every room, great selection of DVD's (we laughed @ the similarities between our collections), washer and dryer (fabulous to have), dishwasher, and humidifiers in each room (mountain air is very dry and these were lifesavers!). Don't fret if you forget any toiletries...they are in both bathrooms. We loved the "family time" on the HUGE sectional sofa & felt like we were in our own home. Thanks Shaun, we had a GREAT trip and will return!

Ski In/Ski Out Condo. Wonderful, comfy condo at the base of the slopes. Great location for our family of 5 with three kids under 8. Easy access to ski school, our priority, and walking back for naps mid day. Downstairs bedrooms comfortable, small entry way with no ski storage. Upstairs fold-out couch, great fireplace and well stocked kitchen. Already booking again

It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to do something a little different. So we booked a 2 night stay on Ode to our Joy. It was absolutely perfect! The owner, Shaun, met us and couldn't have been more helpful. The boat was beautiful, spacious, airy, light and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The weather was glorious and spent a lot of time sitting on deck enjoying the marvelous views and bobbing about on the water. We plan to stay again very soon.

The Crazy Notion was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. We live locally and wanted a fun weekend staycation and this was the perfect place. So, much more interesting, exciting and romantic than staying at a hotel. It is very spacious inside and we loved waking up in the morning and having coffee out on the deck while the sun was just coming up and spending the evenings with a glass of wine watching the sunset. Also, many very good and convenient restaurants all within walking. We will certainly be back to try the rest of the fleet!!

Had a great time, enjoyed the Bayliner (Ode to our Joy). It would be nicer if we did not have to go ashore to use the bathroom. But, it is what it is.

This was our first time renting a property (Pilot Chalet) out in Big Bear. Shaun was very accommodating and walked me through the process, and was very helpful. The cabin exceeded our expectations, We had a group of 8 and a little Corgi. We Had a great time relaxing in the hot tub, cooking group dinners and watching some of the wide range of movies\games that were included in the cabin. The cabin had everything you need to have a good time, just bring the food! We are already planning to return during the winter season and enjoy the snow!

This boat (Slipaway) is amazing! Plenty of room for a couple. Everything you need is provided on this boat. Shelter Cove Marina is clean, quiet, and secure. The harbor is conveniently located to get around town. We took advantage of some of the restaurant discounts and found some great new spots. If you like being close to the water this is a great option. Can wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay (Crazy Notion). A few ideas. More outside seating - deck chairs. (only one on boat). Fresh towels daily would be good. Doing laundry for short stays not easy. No cable. I had ESPN withdrawals! We look forward to seeing the new 50 foot Bayliner for a newer feel.

We were very pleased with the spacious condo and all the amenities. Some of the many highlights include the location of the (Ski In/Ski Out Condo) condo, the hot tub, and the convenient parking. Shaun and the condo's management were very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back and recommend this condo for all ages.

Big cabin (Pilot Chalet), very comfortable and well-stocked with everything you need (just add food, drinks and fun). The only thing we never did figure out was how to use the DVD player (we were mesmerized by a whole wall of DVD's available), but I'm SURE that operator error played a huge part ... and with so much else to do in Big Bear...who cared?! It was great to be able to bring our family pets with us on vacation rather than kennel them (the fenced yard was perfect).

My wife and I stayed on the Silver Cloud for the 2013 Memorial Day weekend this past May. We a were little apprehensive, and now we can say that it was absolutely the right choice. We were pleasantly surprised that there was plenty of room for the two of us. If there had been another couple (or possibly three people) things would have been a bit cramped, but it would have been o.k. as long as they were close friends and not high maintenance types. The amenities all work wonderfully, and morning coffee on the back deck is awesome. We had to tear ourselves away from the serenity of the scene. We never used the heat or A/C - just opening and closing the hatches allowed sufficient temperature control. The bathroom/locker rooms on shore were clean, and there are three showers with partitions and locking doors, no lines (in the men’s anyway). The fitness facility could use a little updating, but it was sufficient (the lone treadmill is very new/updated, though). We went to a concert and dinner at Humphrey's by the Bay which is about a five minute walk; also, the beer/sausages at Fathom are divine. Driving to Sea World is under 10 minutes, and La Jolla was 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. We are already planning another stay on another vessel. This is a great vacation for being active, or just relaxing and sunbathing.
